The short version

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no trackers and no advertising identifiers. Every file it loads, fonts and images included, comes from p.tt itself. I have no server-side code here and nothing that receives information about you.

What the host sees

p.tt is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. GitHub's documentation says that when a GitHub Pages site is visited, "the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes, regardless of whether the visitor has signed into GitHub or not." Cloudflare sits in front of the site and processes standard request logs, such as IP addresses. That logging is theirs, under GitHub's privacy statement and Cloudflare's privacy policy; I don't see or receive it.

Cloudflare also asks browsers to report network errors. If loading p.tt fails, a browser that supports Network Error Logging may send Cloudflare a short report about the failure.

The live clock

The world clock on the home page is geo-clock-card running in your browser. It reads your device's clock to draw day and night, uses NASA imagery served from this site, and never asks for your location: the dot is Nevada City, not you. Nothing it computes leaves your browser.

Storage

The site stores nothing in your browser: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage.

Links to other sites

Links go to GitHub, Medium, LinkedIn, Google Patents, Home Assistant and geoclock.world. Once you follow one, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the revised version is posted at this same address. If the site ever starts making a request to another service, this page will say so in the same update.
